Literacy for all (2 Days)

Including All Students: Tools and Strategies for Success

Important Session Information:

The session addresses the needs of students in grades 4 - 12 that struggle with text comprehension because they lack proficiency in early reading skills. Participants will explore the science of teaching reading and how cognitive processes associated with disabilities impact the learning of foundational literacy skills. Participants will build knowledge and understanding of how instructional supports, including the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Guidelines, and assistive technology can be used to accommodate and reduce the impact of a disability. This is a 2 day training and both days will need to be fully attended to receive 12 hours credit. We will not be able to give partial credit.

There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
