This session is a follow-up to the Mathematics Achievement Academy for Grade 2. In this blended-learning opportunity, participants will attend a three hour virtual session on Day 1, followed by an online component, and then return for another three hour virtual session on Day 2. During the sessions participants will take a deep dive into formative assessment strategies, proficient problem solving, and facilitating student discourse through which students justify their mathematical thinking. The online learning experiences are self paced, providing opportunities for strategies to be used in meaningful, professional settings and allow for self-reflection to improve professional practice. You must have attended an original Math Academy to be eligible to attend. Upon completion of this course 18 hours of CPE credit will be awarded along with a $100 stipend from TEA.
