Walk the Line - A Vertical Look at Linear Functions for 6th - HS




The workshop takes a function-based approach for linear functions for Grades 6-HS.

Important Session Information:


Participants will investigate a series of purposefully sequenced algebra tasks with an eye toward understanding the linear content standards. Participants will study the progression of tasks – how to engage and motivate students in a multiple-entry task that leads into the next multiple entry-task, allowing for all students to extend their learning. We will anchor on the content that is essential for kids to learn and address the highly tested STAAR concepts with discussion of regional STAAR data and differentiation strategies. .
