Book Study: Powerful Partnerships - A Teacher’s Guide to Engaging Families (Canvas Course from 6-1 through Wrap-Up Zoom on 6-23) June 1-23, 2021




Parent & Family Engagement is fundamental to student and school success and is achievable through intentional communication and capacity building. 

The choice book study will examine specific tools and techniques to facilitate strong partnerships for thriving students and schools.


Important Session Information:


This study is designed to encourage teachers and administrators to see family engagement as a fundamental and achievable component of instructional practice and to provide tools to partner effectively with families. Powerful partnerships CAN be established with every family, and this study will help to facilitate the next steps. ///// Participants will need a copy of this book by Karen Mapp, Ilene Carver & Jessica Lander for the study. The first 10 registrants will receive a complimentary book. ///// This course will occur through chapter reading and study via the Canvas platform with a Wrap-Up Zoom from Noon-1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 23. A brief online submission for each chapter and online engagement during the wrap-up Zoom will constitute course completion.
