Book Study: Engage Every Family – Five Simple Principles (Canvas Course from 6-28 through Wrap-Up Zoom on 8-5)




Parent & Family Engagement is fundamental to student and school success and is achievable through intentional communication and capacity building. 

The choice book study will examine specific tools and techniques to facilitate strong partnerships for thriving students and schools.


Important Session Information:


This study will outline a pathway and process for teachers, administrators, and other PFE personnel to engage every family, including those families that have been traditionally disengaged or disenfranchised. Content and discussions will be based on five simple principles: (1) A culture that engages every family; (2) Effective communication and relationship building; (3) Building family efficacy; (4) Engaging families in decision making; and (5) Engaging the greater community. ///// Participants will need a copy of this book by Dr. Constantino for the study. The first 20 registrants will receive a complimentary, second edition of Dr. Constantino's book. ///// This course will occur through chapter reading and study via the Canvas platform with a Wrap-Up Zoom from Noon-1:00 PM on Thursday, August 5. A brief online submission for each chapter and online engagement during the wrap-up Zoom will constitute course completion.
