Develop your understanding of theoretical models of literacy; recognize oral and written language development; identify and utilize a range of assessment and intervention strategies for literacy needs; and implement a variety of technologies to support literacy learning. >>> Classroom literacy materials will be provided to jump-start teaching. >>> Course schedule is as follows: Full day in-person kick-off (July 8), 2-hour mid-point check-in Zoom (July 15 from 11:30-1:30), and 3 hour wrap-up Zoom (July 22 from 9:00-Noon) >>> Self-paced instruction and artifacts completion (from July 8 through July 29) and attendance at all in-person and Zoom events will constitute course completion. Partial credit is not available.
