Literacy for All! Designing Inclusive Literacy Learning Environments (2 Days)




Reading and Math trainings for all educators provided by Network 3, Inclusion in Texas, to provide support for struggling learners in reading and math.

Important Session Information:


The session addresses the needs of students that struggle with text comprehension because they lack proficiency in early reading skills. Participants will explore the science of teaching reading and how cognitive processes associated with disabilities impact the learning of foundational literacy skills. Participants will build knowledge and understanding of how instructional supports, including the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Guidelines, and assistive technology can be used to accommodate and reduce the impact of a disability. This session will be presented via Zoom at the same time as it presented face to face. If you would like to participate via Zoom a packet of session materials will be available for you to pick up at Region 9 ESC the day before the session is scheduled to be presented.
