The English Teacher's Playbook (6th - 12th Grades)




A football coach has a playbook packed full of plays and strategies to use depending on the game. In this session we will explore “plays” and strategies teachers can use depending on the lesson. We will have practice “drills” with each of the “plays” in order for teachers to leave the session with their own personal playbooks to take back and implement in their classes in the fall to give a variety of supports and scaffolds to help support students. All of these strategies will be rooted in a non-digital platform but can easily be adapted to use through technology. 

We will be addressing the needs of the GT and advanced students with these strategies.

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
