Summer F-2-F: #1 Nature and Needs of Gifted/Talented




This class will offer Gifted/Talented credit and is part of the G/T Foundation courses. This course is free to all districts in the Gifted/Talented Coop.

Important Session Information:


Participants will analyze the historical, legal and conceptual understandings of gifted education and the state mandates to serve these unique learners. As we discuss the learning and social needs of G/T students, we will examine the characteristics and behaviors commonly exhibited. This is a required training topic for teachers needing the initial (foundation) thirty (30) hours of professional development as well as administrators and counselors who make programmatic decisions.

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
