Exploring Foods Together: Nutrition in the Classroom (face to face only) AM




All sessions will be geared toward educators and administrators of early learners.  A wide variety of topics will be covered.

Important Session Information:


Adequate nutrition for young children plays a role in their ability and readiness to learn. Inadequate nutrition in early childhood can impact children throughout life. This workshop will present a variety of simple activities that can be done in the classroom to expose children to new foods and help them start building the skills to make healthy food choices. The activities are versatile and were designed to be integrated into the overall curriculum objectives throughout the school year. Additional topics such as encouraging picky eaters and nutritional needs in early childhood will be discussed.
