This session is designed to support Social Studies educators. The session will be delivered through Canvas and Zoom.
Important Session Information:
This is a ZOOM session presented by Law-Related Education and is good for 12 hours of credit. YOU MUST REGISTER IN TWO PLACES TO BE ADMITTED TO THE WORKSHOP AND RECEIVE CREDIT FOR THE SESSION. FIRST, register through Region 9 for the zoom session. SECOND, register through LRE via this link www.texaslre.org. LRE REGISTRATION BEGINS APRIL 19TH. REGISTRATION THROUGH REGION 9 DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU A SEAT WITH LRE. YOU MUST REGISTER THROUGH THEM ON APRIL 19TH AND THEY FILL UP QUICKLY. SET A REMINDER ON YOUR CALENDAR TO LOG ON TO LRE'S SITE on APRIL 19TH!!! Civics Rocks includes foundational social studies skills that are applicable to upper elementary and middle school students including knowledge of political institutions and how to become a more active citizen in their school, community, state, and nation.
