Information:
Have you ever seen a Core Board and thought, "hmmm, I wonder how to use that?" Do you have communicators that need to express themselves using a wide variety of concepts with a small number of words? Do you have students who are not yet verbal communicators or have limited verbal output? If so, join us! Unlocking Core is designed to outline the basic What, Who, When, Where and Why to use Core vocabulary with students to improve student engagement, participation, access and interaction. This is applicable to students with Autism and students with other Cognitive Impairments.
The Universal Core vocabulary is a set of 36 highly useful single words that can be used alone or in combination to communicate for a range of purposes on countless topics with a wide variety of communication partners.
This is a full day, face to face session.
