A Step Toward IEP Quality and Rigor (Face to Face)




TX CAN has created learning materials to support effective and rigorous instruction for students with complex access needs. These courses will be presented in a variety of different formats to support professional development needs.

Important Session Information:


This session will assist special educators in using the quality and rigor rubric developed by TX CAN to: 1) Understand critical components of the IEP including: PLAAFPs, goals/objectives, and progress monitoring; 2) Apply the quality and rigor rubric to IEPs, PLAAFPs, goals/objectives, and progress monitoring sections; and 3) Create PLAAFPs, goals/objectives, and progress monitoring methods that are rigorous and the of the highest quality.

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
