Co-Regulation Fundamentals for Students with Complex Access Needs
Share
TX CAN has created learning materials to support effective and rigorous instruction for students with complex access needs. These courses will be presented in a variety of different formats to support professional development needs.
Important Session Information:
This morning only (9:00 AM - Noon) mini lesson and make & take on Friday, January 7th will focus on co-regulation fundamentals for students with complex access needs. Guiding principles will be taken from best practices found in the Rubric of Effective Practices for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities, helping us learn to differentiate instruction using sensory supports while promoting spontaneous communication and engagement in the life skills classroom. Participants will leave with materials for implementation with students at their respective campuses. Photos of uniquely-produced items and mini presentations and/or videos of their usage will be required by all attendees to obtain credit for the session. This session is specifically designed for 10 teams of Teachers with Life Skills Classrooms, Teachers of the Visually Impaired, OTs and SLPs.
