Session Detail

Project WILD at River Bend (K-5 Science)

Elementary science workshops will provide teachers with resources to implement TEKS aligned, research and content- based activities and strategies into the K-5 science classroom. Workshop descriptors will designate the specific grade level targeted during the session.

Important Session Information:

This session takes place at River Bend Nature Center at 2200 3rd St. In this hands-on workshop, Leslie Fernandes will introduce participants to the Project WILD curriculum, guide them in its use, and show them the resources available through Project WILD to implement in the classroom. Educators will receive a "retro" (not the most updated) Project WILD Activity Guide and therefore there will not be a charge for the guide or session. During the workshop, participants will be offered a variety of options for implementing lessons into their curriculum with a focus on stewardship, climate change, and citizen science.
