Unlock Students' Mathematical Thinking in the Secondary Classroom

In this workshop, learn how to increase students engagement and persevere with productive struggle to improve student learning.

Important Session Information:

In this workshop, learn how to increase students' engagement and persevere with productive struggle to extend learning for all. Imagine your students being excited and working harder to figure out a math problem without being discouraged if they missed it on their first attempt. Using open middle problems and strategies from Robert Kaplinsky’s book, you will be able to support, challenge, and motivate your students. Some participants will receive a FREE book. This critical and creative thinking strategy can be implemented in junior high and all high school math classes.
