**Munday ISD ONLY** Youth Mental Health First Aid- Note: F-T-F, 8:00AM-12:30PM NOTE: Registration Ends 5/24/22




This session will address mental health awareness and issues that our students are facing in the world today.  Topics will include perceptions of mental health, intervention ideas for schools, and community resources that are available.

Important Session Information:


Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in youth. This 6.5 hour training gives adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to children and adolescents who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care. THIS COURSE IS 6.5 HOURS TOTAL WITH 2 HOURS OF REQUIRED PRE-WORK AND 4.5 HOURS IN PERSON. THE COURSE WILL START AT 8:00 AM AND END AT 12:30 PM. PREWORK FROM THE NATIONAL COUNCIL IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO ATTENDING THE COURSE AND WILL BE ASSIGNED A WEEK BEFORE THE ZOOM COURSE. ESC WORKS REGISTRATION WILL END ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE COURSE TO ALLOW TIME TO COMPLETE PREWORK.
