Trauma Informed Care in the Early Childhood Classroom - 3 hour CANVAS Class June 13-24, 2022




All online sessions will be geared toward educators and administrators of early learners.  A wide variety of topics will be covered.



Important Session Information:


This is a 3 hour course in Canvas. One of the first steps to incorporating a trauma-informed approach into your early childhood classroom is to recognize the signs and symptoms of trauma. The next step involves responding to what you see. Young children communicate through their behaviors, and sometimes those behaviors are challenging for adults. Understanding how to address young children's challenging behaviors is part of a trauma-informed approach; knowing how to address them in a classroom setting is key to helping children heal and recover.
