Brain Breaks with Poetry (Gr K-12) ZOOM Virtual - 9 am to 12 pm - June 13, 2022

In collaboration with West College of Education at Midwestern State University, Region 9 Education Service Center will host this half-day (3 hrs) virtual Zoom event.
Important Session Information:
Breathe.Stretch.Wiggle.Dance.March.Stomp.Reach! EVERYONE needs regular brain breaks. Keep kids moving while you teach language arts, STEM, social studies, and more--with poems! This 3-hour virtual Zoom session for K-12 educators will integrate learning with movement utilizing quick brain breaks with topics across the curriculum. This presentation will feature the book, "Hop To It: Poems to Get You Moving". This book is the 2021 winner of the Kids' Choice Book Awards - Best Book of Facts and is an anthology of 100 poems by 90 poets. Register early to ensure yourself a copy of this award winning book! The Zoom link for this PD session will be sent out via email account through Region 9 a few days before this session. Please make sure that your email address is current. To ensure a postive learning experience, please use a device larger than a cell phone.
