STAAR Alternate 2 for Test Administrators




State Assessment Updates

Important Session Information:


This 1/2 day session is designed for teachers who will be administering the STAAR Alternate 2 assessment to students in grades 3-8 and high school who have significant cognitive disabilities. The session will help test administrators understand (1) who is eligible for STAAR Alt 2, (2) how to prepare for and administer the test, (3) allowable accommodations, and (4) methods to access STAAR Alt 2 resources. The latest updates from the Texas Education Agency will also be reviewed for timely utilization prior to the opening of the preview window on March 13, 2023.

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
