Connections: Pre K Learning in Motion - Gross, Fine Motor and Sensory Skills for Pre K Students(Beth Barnard /Linda Sandusky)




This session is designed to support early learning educators.

Important Session Information:


Join us for a fun day of learning for preK level early learning teachers. The focus of these sessions will be motor skills and development. The morning session led by Beth Barnard from Midwestern State University. is a great opportunity to learn more about fine motor skills and sensory issues in early learners. AM: FINE MOTOR FUN IN PRESCHOOL - During this hands-on presentation we will define Fine Motor and Manipulative play, learn about the stages and then apply this knowledge to our classrooms. Bring your favorite fine motor ideas to share and be prepared to go back to your classroom with fresh ideas, supply lists and lots of FUN! PM: The afternoon session led by Linda Sandusky, an experienced early childhood P.E. teacher will focus on movement and it's important connection to learning. There is a $10.00 fee per person payable upon arrival. Payment accepted is cash or checks made payable to CONNECTIONS. NO CARDS ACCEPTED> A complimentary, working lunch will be provided.

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
