CACFP Cycle Menu Planning Workshop & Lab (Saturday, August 5th, 2023, 8:30-1:30 Face to Face)

The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) classes will develop administrative, operational, and nutrition skills and knowledge necessary to understand and comply with the requirements of U.S. Department of Agriculture programs managed by the Texas Department of Agriculture. The goal of the CACFP is to improve and maintain the health and nutritional status of children and adults, promote development of good eating habits, and integrate nutritious food service with organized child and adult day care services.
Important Session Information:
Join us for CACFP Cycle Menu Workshop and Lab. The first half of the class, we will discuss planning a cycle menu, meal patterns, creditable foods, and how to cost out your cycle menu, as well as tools available to assist with your menu planning. Bring your current cycle menu and let's collaborate together. Saturday August 5th,2023 from 8:30 am -1:30 pm. This is a FACE to FACE and will be held at Region 9 ESC. The second half of the session will be an open lab. Let's talk about your specific menu and plan your cycle menu for the year and talk about the cost of your menu. Must participate in the CACFP program with TDA to participate in this training.
