Tying it all Together with Geography in K-12 Social Studies (F2F) (July 17, 2023 9am-4pm)




This session benefits all teachers who must teach Social Studies TEKS.

Important Session Information:


Geography is woven into every social studies classroom (or block) in kindergarten through 12th grade. This session will focus on strategies to help students strengthen their geography skills such as: locating places, analyzing patterns, comparing regions, and creating and interpreting maps, graphs, and charts. Through participating in activities that model these skills, teachers will walk away with tools and ideas to take directly into the classroom.
