Thrifty Nifty Activities for Reading Instruction




This session will provide information, activities, and strategies based on the Science of Reading to help support readers in the classroom, including students who struggle to read.


Important Session Information:


Participants in this session will learn the connection between the Science of Reading and the reading activities that can be used in the classroom. We will use Judith Dodson's book "50 Nifty Activities for 5 Components and 3 Tiers of Reading Instruction" as a guide for activities and how to be intentional about why and when we choose activities for students.

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
