Trauma Informed Classrooms




This training offers school and district administrators a road-map for adopting a school-wide or district-wide approach to addressing trauma and promoting resilience for everyone in the learning environment. The training supports schools and administrators and staff to: understand trauma in a broad and inclusive way; recognize the effects of trauma on students, families and communities; learn a process for implementing a schoolwide trauma sensitive approach; and integrate trauma-sensitive practices into their daily operations.

Important Session Information:


This training is on the TEA trauma-informed best practice list. This session will define trauma and how it affects families, and describes how schools can become trauma informed spaces. It will also touch on the importance of educator wellness.
