Join us in learning about the 6 steps of productive struggle
Important Session Information:
The struggle is real! And it’s time that popular catchphrase meant something more. Productive math struggle is the result of intentional actions we take so that our students struggle, persevere, and succeed. In this workshop, participants learn about how productive math struggle is grounded in value, identity, community, planning, support, and reflection. They will acquire instructional strategies to use before, during, and after the struggle. A collection of classroom-ready tools will be provided. The workshop helps teaching learn about shifting efforts from rescuing struggle to provoking it in order to spark learning and agency.
