G/T Administrator Training (Includes Nature and Needs)




This session will focus on elements of gifted and talented and be customized to the needs of a particular district.

Important Session Information:


In this course, you will learn about the nature of gifted students, identification measures to find the gifted, and program options that meet their needs. You will also learn what is required by Texas law for gifted students and what best identification and program practices should be followed. This workshop is aligned to the Texas State Plan for the Education of the Gifted/Talented Students. This session does not qualify for update certification and is not designed for teachers. This session is paid for with G/T Coop funds and open to all district members with the Region 9 Area at no additional charge. Non-coop member fee is $125. per participant.

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
