FULL: Canvas On-line: Summer #2: Assessing Student Needs for the Gifted/Talented Program - Online Edition (06/17—06/30




This class will offer 6-hour Gifted/Talented credit and is part of the G/T Foundation courses. This course is free to all districts in the Gifted/Talented Coop.

Important Session Information:


In this e-course, participants will gain understanding of how to implement Texas law and the State Board of Education rule concerning the assessment and identification of gifted and talented students. Participants will also learn about methods of assessment that help accurately identify the needs of the gifted students. Successful completion of the course requires that you do the following by the due date: 1. Access all pages of the course. 2. Write a thoughtful reply to all postings on the online conference board. 3. Complete all assignments, as directed. 4. Pass the final quiz with at least a 70%. You will receive a welcome e-mail through the ESC9 site a few days before the first day of class with a course web link and instructions about accessing the course. This workshop meets Texas state requirements for G/T basic training in nature and needs of gifted/talented students. This class is free to all member districts in the Gifted/Talented Coop. Non-member districts will need to pay a $125 regist
