Planning with the New Science TEKS: Grades 6-8




Middle school science sessions will focus on implementation of the Science TEKS through labs, activities, and various research based strategies for grades 6-8.

Important Session Information:


The new Science TEKS are here! Examine the background, rationale, and content of the new TEKS to prepare for implementation of high-quality science instruction. Explore the changes to middle school, and unpack the implications for classroom instruction to improve outcomes for all students. We will dig into the engineering design process, how to use recurring themes and concepts, and the challenges unique to your course. This session will include opportunities to collaborate with your peers, experience interactive learning experiences, and begin planning for Fall 2024.
