Share
This workshop will help you get your SHAC organized and functioning as designed by the law. Senate Bill 19 requires every school district to have a School Health Advisory Council that is made up mainly of parents that are not employed by the district. Participants will receive strategies for recruitment, organization and effective operation. The objectives are to: * Help you fully understand the value of a SHAC * Give you an underdstanding of the law * Provide you with best practices related to SHAC * Provide you with practical information, resources and strategies
Important Session Information:
There are many myths teens believe about the safety of using vape products, and each year more teens report trying vaping at least once. This presentation covers the chemicals used in vapes, myths, the stress of peer pressure, and laws. Participants will learn how vaping can impact teens health, as well as refusal skills to share to encourage youth to quit. When teenage vaping is on the rise, so are concerns about their mental and physical well-being. Zoom link:https://esc9.zoom.us/j/96034391937
