Brain Science and School Success: A Workshop for Special Educators, Diags, LSSPs, and SLPs F2F 6/22/26 9-12:00




These sessions are designed to address the professional needs of Speech Language Pathologists and Speech Language Pathology Assistants. 

Important Session Information:


Advances in neuroscience have taught us much about how the brain works in the last twenty years, but there is still a research-to-practice gap. This presentation will explain basic principles of brain functioning and demonstrate how we might apply that knowledge when working with students. 3 TSHA CEUS Target Audience: SLPs, Diags, LSSPs, Related Services, Special Ed Teachers Participants will be able to: 1. list brain principles that affect the acquisition and retention of information 2. identify assessment and instructional practices that mesh with “brain rules” 3. in case scenarios, select potential techniques consistent with brain science
