Substitute teacher training for any new substitutes.

Important Session Information:


This session will review the legal and educational issues, classroom and behavior management techniques and teaching strategies to assist substitutes in the classroom. Each participant will be required to purchase a copy of the Substitute Teaching Handbook which will contain activities appropriate for all grade and subject areas, teaching strategies and suggestions for working with special needs students. The cost of the book is $25. The participant will need to purchase the book at the door the day of the training with a check or cash. No credit cards will be accepted.

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
