Teaching Math that Transfers: Geometry and beyond

This session is designed to provide support to secondary mathematics teachers.

Important Session Information:

Teaching Math that Transfers: Geometry and Beyond focuses on strengthening the connection between high school mathematics instruction and the TEKS while preparing students for success beyond the classroom. In this session, teachers will explore instructional strategies that support rigorous learning for diverse high school learners with high-level questioning. Participants will build intentional bridges between Geometry and other high school math content and postsecondary expectations, ensuring students can transfer their knowledge to new contexts. Teachers will leave with practical tools, planning time, and actionable next steps to implement strategies that increase relevance, engagement, and student achievement. This class will count as a 6-hour G/T update credit and is not paid for with G/T coop funds.
