Curiouser and Curiouser - Inquiry and Exploration in Secondary Science (Grades 6-12)




Secondary science sessions will focus on implementation of the Science TEKS through labs, activities, and various research based strategies.

Important Session Information:


How does consciousness work? How can we prevent dams from breaking? How do Greenland sharks live for 400 years? Use real-world phenomena to provoke "why" and "what if" questions that engage all levels of learners. We will explore how to take advantage of students' natural curiosity to dive into deeper understanding of the content. This class will count as a 6-hour G/T update credit and is not paid for with G/T coop funds.

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
