Creativity and Innovation (K-12)




This class will count as a 6-hour G/T update credit.

Important Session Information:


Today’s students must be able to think creatively and produce creative products to be successful in school and in the world of work. In this session we will work to define creativity and to understand the importance of teaching creativity and creative thinking. We will explore the elements of creativity including fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration. Participants will also review creative aspects that are built into the Texas Performance Standards Project (TPSP). This session is free to all member districts in the Gifted/Talented Coop and will count as a 6-hour G/T update credit. Non-coop districts will be charged a fee of $125.

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
