MTSS: Planning and Implementation for Leadership




Multi-Tier System of Supports (MTSS) encompasses support for the whole child and takes into account academics, behavior, and social/emotional supports. T.E.A's special education network, Tiered Intervention using Evidence-based Research, T.I.E.R., has created modules to help educators develop and implement MTSS.

Important Session Information:


MTSS Leaders will gain tools and strategies for evaluating district/campus implementation, generate a list of next steps based on the evaluation, analyze an example MTSS plan, and develop an MTSS plan based on current implementation. Leaders will also develop an MTSS plan based on current implementation, next steps, and the analyzed example. Then, leaders will be able to create a plan for continually evaluating the MTSS plan and implementation. MTSS Leaders will then learn how to outline the stages of implementing MTSS at the district, campus, classroom, and student levels. They will explore how MTSS can support both academic and non-academic challenges within your district or campus. Leaders will determine resources, policies, procedures, and professional learning opportunities to strengthen MTSS implementation at the district and campus levels. Finally, MTSS Leaders will be able to identify and discuss districtwide systems and practices that ensure the long-term success and sustainability of MTSS while

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
