Hot Shop Glass Blowing Sneak Peek for 6th-12th Grade Teachers in DALLAS




The Wichita Falls Arts Council is providing this free session for teachers in Region 9 districts.

Important Session Information:


Join Arts Council Wichita Falls on a teacher workshop in Dallas that goes behind the scenes of their popular Hot Shop Glass Blowing annual workshop for students. You'll learn about the science and artistry of glass and create a blown glass keepsake for yourself. Arts Council Wichita Falls hosts annual student workshops in Dallas, where students work in the studio with experts, learning about the science and the art of glass blowing and glass fusing. They also visit a commercial gallery to explore art as a business and create components for a permanent public glass installation. It requires that attendees arrange their own transportation to and from the studio in downtown Dallas. Participants may bring their own packed lunch or order and pay for lunch in advance through the Arts Council WF.

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
