Paraprofessionals, This is for YOU! This interactive, hands-on workshop is designed to equip paraprofessionals with practical strategies to support students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems. Participants will move beyond basic prompting techniques to develop the skills needed to become responsive, effective communication partners.
Through guided practice, real-life scenarios, and collaborative activities, participants will learn how to model language, support student engagement, and create meaningful communication opportunities throughout the school day.
Following the workshop, participants will receive optional targeted coaching support to reinforce learning, build confidence, and promote consistent implementation in authentic classroom environments.
