Working With Oil Pastels for Art Educators on June 15, 2026




This workshop is for fine arts teachers.

Important Session Information:


This class is for educators to introduce students to drawing with oil pastels, focusing on both foundational techniques and creative expression. We will explore color blending, layering, texture creation, and mark-making while working with the rich, vibrant qualities of oil pastels. Lessons include guided exercises to build technical skills—such as gradients, shading, and color mixing—followed by open-ended projects that encourage personal interpretation and artistic voice. We will emphasize experimentation, helping gain confidence in using bold color and expressive strokes while developing composition and visual storytelling skills.
