"Where Do I Go from Here?" Online Book Study

This support network is for educators (teachers, paraprofessionals, counselors, administrators, migrant advocates,) who work to meet the academic, social, and language needs of migrant students. The ongoing work of this group will be shared discussion and activities that help better support the migrant students you work with. Activities are aligned to TPEP, and are also responsive to English Language Acquisition approaches. This will be a three module online book study, working with the book “Where Do I Go from Here?” Meeting the Unique Educational Needs of Migrant Students. Key Activities Include: • Addresses 7 areas of concern for migrant students and families • Understanding migrant farmworkers and their families • Social and academic language • How to create culturally responsive materials and lessons • Using technology with migrant children • How to reach out to migrant families
