Have Computer Science Come Alive in Your Classroom! (STEM Hours)


Computational Thinking Integration for K-5 Teachers is a 3-day course that prepares teachers to integrate computer science and computational thinking into their lessons across multiple subject areas. Teachers will learn about computational thinking and computer science content pedagogy as they become skilled at incorporating Ozobots, Makey Makey & Micro:Bits into their instructional activities. Teachers will also become familiar with both Scratch Jr and Scratch, two free computer science programming platforms designed for younger students.

Important Session Information:
This is a 3-day, 3-part training. Attendees will receive their own Ozobot, Makey Makey & Micro:Bit devices ($140 value). This training is approved for 18 STEM clock hours.
