Trainings: Session Detail

Developing High Quality Paraprofessionals

Paraprofessionals are often utilized as the facilitator for classrooms, but may not have the appropriate training to fill this important role. This training clarifies the role of the paraprofessional, gives a basic look at the student who receives special education services, strategies for in-class assistance and collaboration with the special education and general education teachers. Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires that the State educational agency will ensure that all paraprofessionals working in a program supported with funds under Title I, Part A meet applicable State certification requirements. This session provides the framework for highly qualified paraprofessionals.
