SCSC-The Educated Classroom

This is a totally online experience made up of Six lessons. The lessons are clinical insights for maximizing the wellbeing and learning experience of today's students. Lessons are as follows: 1. Executive Function-the master conductor of the Brain's Symphony 2. Attention Disorders-getting information through the brain's front door 3. Language Disorders-understanding and expressing ideas and thoughts in words 4. Learning Disorders-identifying obstacles and overcoming them 5. Parent-Teacher Conferences-working together for the good of the student 6. Five Critical Issues-social media, technology, anxiety, bullying and sexual orientation Once you register you will be emailed a streaming code. You will want to have strong bandwidth. Do your PD from your home or your school. TESS components addressed for this workshop include: Domain 2, Domain 3 and Domain 4

Important Session Information:

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants will pay the listed fee including Nurses and Paraprofessionals. All professional development (PD) sessions require a minimum number of participants. If the minimum number is not met; the PD session will be canceled two weeks prior to the event. Registrants for the session will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. CaFor member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price of the session(s) not attended. No credit will be awarded until the fee is paid.
