SCSC - STEAM Projects with Makey Makey

Teachers will learn how a Makey Makey can transform student presentations into interactive, exciting, and engaging projects. Teachers will have hands-on experience inventing with a Makey Makey. No experience needed! We will walk you step-by-step through the process! Students can invent projects that combine the tactile materials of the classroom with the coding projects they're creating on the computer to bring their creations to life. TESS components addressed for this workshop include: 2B, 2C, and 3C.

Important Session Information:

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants including nurses and paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. All professional development (PD) sessions require a minimum number of participants. If the minimum number is not met; the PD session will be canceled two weeks prior to the event. Registrants for the session will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price of the session(s) not attended. No credit will be awarded until the fee is paid. TESS components addressed for this workshop include: 2C, 3B, and 3C.
