This 6 hour training is fundamental to the understanding and implementation of successful data collection and behavior change. The information is derived from nearly 50 years of research on individuals with problem behavior and is based on research in Applied Behavior Analysis. Just as teaches must define the skills and knowledge they teach in academic areas, they must identify the behaviors and expectations they hold for students. When students do not meet those expectations, teachers need to know how to identify behavior and define behaviors in order to address the reduction or elimination of target behavior and increase of replacement behaviors. Defining behavior in measurable and observation terms is a prerequisite for measuring behavior. defining the Target Behavior is one of four Essential Skills Trainings that are beneficial to attend prior to any of Tier 2 training being provided throughout the school year.
Participants should bring a laptop, tablet, or electronic device in order to access online portions of this training.
