SCSC - Essential Skills of Behavior Part 3- Catch'em Being Good! Using Reinforcement to Increase Appropriate Behaviors.

Reinforcement is one of four Essential Skills Trainings that are beneficial to attend prior to any of the Tier 2 trainings being provided throughout the school year. The Essentials will be required for the development of school district teams that will receive in depth training and coaching toward building local capacity.  
Reinforcement is one of the most fundamental instructional practices that can be used to help students acquire new skills or increase desired behaviors. This interactive 6 hour training will help learners gain a greater understanding of basic reinforcement procedures as well as further explore misconceptions related to punishment and bribery. Important Session Information:

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants including nurses and paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. All professional development (PD) sessions require a minimum number of participants. If the minimum number is not met; the PD session will be canceled two weeks prior to the event. Registrants for the session will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price.
