GFESC - 2ND QUARTER DYSLEXIA CONTACT MEETING/BASICS OF SCHOOL BASED ID

Identifying a student with markers of Dyslexia for school can be difficult.  As mentioned in Arkansas' Dyslexia Resource Guide, identification of students with dyslexia should be done by the "School Based Decision Making Team."

During this day, districts are encouraged to send those educators who are responsible for the identification of students with dyslexia.  This may include administrators, dyslexia interventionists, or RTI team members.  It is highly encouraged that more than one person from the district is present for this professional development.

6 hours will be given for attendance in Parts 1 and 2.  Participants who attend only Part 1 or 2 will be given 3 hours of PD credit.

TESS Domains: 1a, 1d, 3c, and 3d will be addressed.

Important Session Information:

NO COST TO PDC DISTRICTS.  Lunch will be provided.

Participants may choose to bring assessment information that they have questions about during the training.
