DSC Basic Principles of Behavior

A principle of behavior describes a basic behavior-environment relation that has been demonstrated repeatedly in hundreds, even thousands, of experiments.  In managing classroom behavior and designing interventions, it is critical that teachers understand the basic principles of behavior in order to be effective.

Basic Principles of Behavior is one of four Essential Skills Trainings that are beneficial to attend prior to any of the Tier 2 trainings being provided throughout the school year. The Essentials will be required in 2018-19 for the development of school district teams that will receive in-depth training and coaching toward building local capacity.
