SE Module Six Text Analysis for Small Group Instructional Reading (1 day) - K-1



This module focuses on the importance of analyzing texts for small group instruction. Teachers will be equipped to choose appropriate material based on a scope and sequence for decoding, as well as instruction for instant word recognition. In addition, the importance of handwriting fluency will be addressed. Teachers will need to bring the scope and sequence for their phonics program (if available) and samples of texts used in their small group instructional reading.
