NWAESC---Working with Children in the Crisis of Poverty (2095)

Although the rest of the state sees only the wealth in NWA, we, as educators, understand that we actually have more children living in poverty and more homeless children in this corner of the state than any other region. This interactive workshop will lead the participants through a collaborative look at how we cam make a difference for people who are fighting poverty, how we can make a real difference for the children and families who we serve through the work of Dr. Donna Beegle Using research-based theory and practice, this institute is intended for professionals who work directly with people living in poverty and will provide them with invaluable tools to take back to their schools to increase success outcomes in their classrooms. TESS Components addressed include: 1b, 1c, 2a, 2b, 3c, 4c, 4e
